CURRENT REPERTOIRE
Our repertoire is very varied and is designed to cater for all types of audience and choir member tastes. New songs are added regularly in order to retain the freshness and vocal stimulation required to keep the choir improving.
Hilary Griffiths our Musical Director is constantly looking for new material for us to sing and occasionaly introduces us to foreign language songs.
The most popular songs in our repertoire at present are:
“The Rose”, as sung by Bette Midler in the film of the same name.
A medley of songs from the film “Sister Act”.
A wonderfully apt song written by Greg Gilpin called “Why We Sing”.
“One Moment in Time” a song made famous by Whitney Houston.
An unusual arrangement of “Can’t Help Falling in Love” made famous by Elvis Presley and featured in the film “Blue Hawaii.”
The latest additions are – “Don’t Stop Me Now” as recorded by Queen, “Tragedy” as sung by The Bee Gees, “Colours of the Wind” from the film Pochohontas and “Da Doo Ron Ron” made famous by The Crystals.
Videos of several of our songs made at various events at which we have sung can be found below or on YouTube by searching for Tamworth Ladies Choir.
