Tamworth Ladies' Choir

TLC logo

Our repertoire is very varied and is designed to cater for all types of audience and choir member tastes. New songs are added regularly in order to retain the freshness and vocal stimulation required to keep the choir improving.

Hilary Griffiths our Musical Director is constantly looking for new material for us to sing and rearranging old audience favourites.

The most popular songs in our repertoire at present are:

“Whistle Down the Wind” from the Andrew Lloyd Webber West End musical of the same name.

"The Rose", as sung by Bette Midler in the film of the same name.

Songs from the film "Sister Act"

"One Moment in Time" a song made famous by Whitney Houston

An unusual arrangement of "Can't Help Falling in Love" made famous by Elvis Presley and featured in the film "Blue Hawaii"

"Downtown" the Petula Clark favourite

"Dream the Impossible Dream" from the film The Man from La Mancha

“The Sound of Silence” made famous by Simon and Garfunkel

And of course our favourite fun song our own upbeat and technically demanding version of “This Old Man”.

Videos of several of our songs made at various events at which we have sung can be found on YouTube by searching for Tamworth Ladies Choir.
